Yule Goat Challenge ON CCB: OPEN DISCUSSION

 Have you ever had a Christmas where just surviving the challenges of the holiday was your gift?  A Die Hard movie Christmas?  Well then meet the Yule Goat.

“He’s this Christmas symbol that’s supposed to bring joy and happiness and Christmas feelings,” one Swedish Christmas lover laments.  But the mighty men of Sweden have turned the Yule Goat into their Mission Quite Possible.

Since it's marketing birth in 1966 the Yule Goat has been burned down or destroyed 38 times. Including in 2021- after a 5 year safety zone of Yule Goat prosperity.

2022 is a historic year for the world's largest straw goat, which for the first time in 56 years gets a temporary new location in Gävle. During the construction of the new cultural center Agnes Kulturhus, the Gävle Goat gets to take pride of place on the Town Hall Esplanade, Rådhusesplanaden, in central Gävle. The inauguration of the Gävle Goat is thus moved from Slottstorget to Stortorget.

Our Yule Goat Challenge is to submit a goat mascot from photos or images, also submit names for our Yule Goat.  A fair luck of the draw will choose the winner in both categories.

Following the Euro gambler sites odds on the Yule Goat survivability, real daily "staying alive" news reports and our own fictional storyline of straw goat assassination plots and defense successes to thwart them.  This is the first annual Chit Chat Bar Yule Goat Challenge.  Can we keep or destroy the Swedish Straw Yule Goat until Christmas Day?  Will our own American Christmas Goat be a defender, villain or both in the plot????
